A little bit about the couple

Tell us a little about the proposal, did she see it coming?

Tell me a bit about you guys. What do you each do for a living? What do you like to do when you're not at work? What's important to you in life?

We'd spoken about it for a while and I'd made it clear to Jess that I wanted to spend my life with her. I scoped out what ring she wanted and as soon as I got it, I proposed. On a work night out of the blue. It was low key, like we typically like to roll!

We met at university and have been together for eight years now. We love going on holiday, bedding into a bar and watching the world go by. In London, you'll typically find us bedded into a favorite pub on the weekend watching the world pass - we have simple tastes! I'm a big football fan as an aside and Jess has a penchant for US TV shows. Being happy and healthy is most important I'd say. Jess works in marketing and I work in property.

What experience did you want to give to you guests?

Tell us about the venue, what made you choose it over anywhere else?

A joyful release after a really tough year.  Our priority is to keep everyone well watered and well fed and we're simply looking forward to surrounding ourselves with our closest friends and family, whilst celebrating our love for each other.

Jess' late grandad was a member there and it means a lot to her - we have had great lunches there with him and it's just quite a nice and meaningful venue, particularly for her.
