TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE PROPOSAL
Jonathan is a racing car driver and a Kentish country boy at heart. Annabelle grew up in Sydney, is a lawyer, and loves theatre, the silver screen and dance. We both are cheeky and happy (little imps as kids). We met in 2018, are best friends and find fun in the smallest things - like brushing our teeth together at night before bed. Aside from the obvious important things in life (family, friends), the normal, quiet, "happy with my lot" life isn't for us. We want adventure, to soar over clouds together, in a life full of activity, new discovery, love and happiness.
Jonathan and I were back in Sydney visiting my parents over the Australian summer just after Christmas in 2019. Jonathan plotted the proposal a few months before, looking at Google Earth pictures of beaches along the Eastern suburbs of Sydney and ocean outlooks. One Sunday morning in early January, he suggested we do our favourite walk - called the Bondi to Bronte beach walk, and he asked me to marry him on a particular, incredible rocky outlook over the sea. We then quickly skipped into a Bondi Beach bar and drank champagne afterwards, it was magic.

Relaxed, summer garden party fun in the sunshine!
Tonbridge School was Jonathan's high school, so it felt important to include this as a little bit of his histoty. Plus it's absolutely stunning! It felt like the right location for a more intimate celebration in the UK.
